Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Dear Customer:

America is home to more than 54 million people with disabilities who work, play, shop, vote, pursue an education, raise families, and volunteer in their communities. In 1990, Congress passed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the civil-rights law that ensures individuals with disabilities access to employment, education, state and local government programs and services, businesses, telecommunications, and public transportation.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is committed to providing quality service to all our customers. In the last several years, we have worked hard to make our public transit system increasingly accessible to members of our community who have physical or cognitive disabilities.

Any individual who believes they have been denied the benefits of, excluded from participation in, or subject to discrimination on the grounds of their disability may file a formal complaint with JTA.   The ADA Complaint Form (see attached) should be mailed to:
