A: The Jacksonville Transportation Authority's role in the community is to provide high quality transit services and roadway infrastructure interconnecting Northeast Florida.

Q: What is JTA's role in The Better Jacksonville Plan?

A: The Jacksonville Transportation Authority's role in The Better Jacksonville Plan is to implement 32 roadway projects totaling more than $800 million. The projects include 12 interchange improvements, roadway widening projects, construction of one major bridge and the design of another.

Q: What major roadway and bridge projects has JTA done in the past?

A: The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has constructed the Hart, Dames Point, Mathews, Wonderwood, Atlantic Intracoastal, Arthur Solee (JTB - Intracoastal) bridges, road improvement projects including Atlantic/Mayport Flyover, Intersection at J. Turner Butler and A1A, J. Turner Butler, Regency Bypass, Wonderwood Connector, Soutel Road, Heckscher Drive, AC Skinner Parkway and more.
