Index to JTA Business Opportunities Information

JTA’s purchasing department handles procurement of general goods and services for the mass transit and engineering divisions and is supported by an established bidding process based on city, state and federal guidelines. They are also responsible for operational procurement of equipment, materials and services for the Skyway.

DBE Business Opportunities Information

The purchasing department works closely with the DBE program through JTA’s Contract Compliance Manager. DBE’s should register with the DBE program. You must provide your firm’s name, address, zip code, telephone number, fax number and federal ID number. This can be done by Fax (904-630-3168) or email, or dowload the forms here.

Selling To JTA

Procurements Less than $25,000
Most goods and services which JTA procures are obtained through competitive bidding. JTA may solicit either verbal or written quotes, depending upon the items' dollar value.

Procurements Greater than $25,000
On purchases of $25,000 and above, JTA follows a formal procurement process. A number of vendors are notified of JTA’s intent to obtain bids from a list taken from JTA’s vendor list.
