JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) officially launched the Clay Community Transportation Green Line, expanding access for residents in rural communities to the Middleburg Veterans Affairs Clinic.
The Green Line is the fourth route introduced through Clay Community Transportation, a partnership between the JTA and Clay County.
The service runs Monday – Friday with stops in Keystone Heights and Penny Farms on its way to the Middleburg VA Clinic, located at 400 College Drive, STE 200, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
“Our work in Clay County continues to focus on expanding access to safe, clean and affordable transportation options in this community,” said JTA Chief Executive Officer Nathaniel P. Ford Sr. “The Green Line provides much-needed and direct access to the vital healthcare services veterans and their families depend on.”
The Green Line will operate Monday – Friday, with morning trips originating from the Keystone Heights Senior Center starting at 7:30 a.m. Additional stops include the Penny Farms Commons Building, the Clayton & Mildred Revels Senior Center, and the Middleburg VA Clinic.
Return trips originate from the Middleburg VA Clinic starting at 9 a.m.
The Green Line also connects to the Magenta Line, which connects Keystone Heights and Gainesville with two round-trips each weekday.
Clay Community Transportation also offers customers the ability to “flex” the route if they are not able to get to a designated stop. Customers can call Clay Community Transportation to schedule a convenient pick-up from their location at (904) 284-5977. When time allows us to accommodate a request, a CCT shuttle will pick customers up from their location and drop them off at any of the stops along the Green Line for only a $1 deviation fee (per pick-up, per rider).
For more information, questions or concerns, reach out to Clay Community Transportation at (904) 284-5977. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. (except holidays).
