JTA’s Chief of Staff elected to the Latinos in Transit Board of Directors

JACKSONVILLE, FL. — February 27, 2023  JTA is proud to announce that Ivan A. Rodriguez-Seda, JTA’s Chief of Staff, has been selected to join the Latinos In Transit (LIT) Board of Directors. Founded in 2016, LIT was created to promote the advancement and development of Latinos and other minorities in transportation. Membership is comprised of public and private transportation professionals from across the nation.

“Ivan has a tremendous record of achievement as a business and policy leader and his expertise on transformative transportation and infrastructure projects in Northeast Florida will serve him well as he engages on the Latinos in Transit board,” said JTA Chief Executive Officer Nathaniel P. Ford Sr.  “With his participation, JTA will now be part of an organization that has a clear vision of pushing for sustainable and equitable mobility services, while creating a network to advance professional development.”

Rodriguez-Seda started at the JTA in 2013 as the Government Relations Officer and has held various positions at the authority. During his tenure, he has been an active contributor in advancing JTA’s signature projects and initiatives, working on projects such as the Route Optimization Initiative (ROI), the First Coast Flyer BRT, and the Ultimate Urban Circulator (U²C) project. His advocacy and support of grant strategies has helped secure millions in federal and state funding.  In August 2022, he was named Chief of Staff. 

“We are proud and overjoyed to have Ivan join the LIT Board of Directors,” said Alva Carrasco, LIT President of the Board of Directors. “LIT is experiencing rapid growth and with Ivan’s leadership and expertise, we look forward to strengthening our foundation and to growing to new heights.”  

Rodriguez-Seda was selected to Mass Transit magazine’s 40 Under 40 class in 2020. He has over 15 years in public service, with extensive experience in policy, legal, advocacy, and governance. In addition to the LIT board, he is an active member of numerous national and statewide trade associations and organizations.

Currently, he also serves on the Regional Council for Leadership Florida’s Northeast Chapter.

Rodriguez-Seda is married with three young sons.
