Outbound Route Adjustments - From the Acosta Bridge

  • Make a left and follow around to Museum Circle
  • Continue left at the stop sign (go around the round-about)
  • Continue straight to Riverplace Blvd.
  • Cross over Prudential Drive to Hendricks Ave.
  • Continue Hendricks Ave.
  • Left on Atlantic Blvd.
  • Resume regular route

NOTE: Passengers can board the bus at the corner of Museum Circle (at the stop sign), corner of Lasalle Street and Hendricks Ave.

Inbound Route Adjustments - From Hendricks Avenue

  • Continue to make a left on Prudential Drive
  • Right on San Marco Blvd.
  • Resume regular route

NOTE: Passengers can board the bus at the corner of Lasalle Street and Hendricks Ave.

Route 16 - Riverside Area

Outbound Route Adjustments - From Riverside Ave.

  • Right on Goodwin Street
  • Left on Oak Street
  • Left on Stockton Street

  • Right on A1A
  • Right on Wonderwood Drive

Inbound Route Adjustments - From Wonderwood Dr. (does not service Mayport Ferry area)

  • Left on A1A
  • Left into Park & Ride Lot (End of Line)

NOTE: Passengers who normally board the bus in the Ferry Area can board at bus stop #45 at A1A and Wonderwood Dr.

Route 25 - San Marco Area

  • Route 8 is no longer on a flood detour, and is servicing all stops.

  • Route 19 remains on detour due to flooding.

Service Update

  • As the storm approaches the Northeast Florida area, we will suspend bus service at the close of service tonight (Oct 9).
  • We will resume service at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow (Oct 10), or as it becomes safe to do so.

Route 8

  • Route is currently on a flood detour due to flooding on LaSalle Street between San Marco and Hendricks Avenue

Route 19

  • Route is currently on a flood detour due to flooding on Market Street between 1st Street and Orange Street

Shelters

  • As shelters open on Wednesday morning (Oct 9), we will began providing free transportation on our fixed-route services to anyone needing transportation to one of the activated shelter locations.

  • The below routes service the open shelters:
    • The Legends Center - (5130 Soutel Dr.), open for general population and special needs.
      • Route 3
    • Landmark Middle - (101 Kernan Blvd), open for general population, special medical needs, and pet-friendly
      • Route 10
    • LaVilla School of the Arts - (501 N. Davis St.)
      • Routes 13, 16, 53

  • Wednesday, October 9th at 8:00 AM we will begin the dedicated shuttle service to the Legends Center:

    • Ken Knight Dr. and Moncrief Road, bus stop 3991
    • Service will continue throughout the storm period as long as it is safe to do so
    • This will operate in 15-minute frequency intervals

Magenta Route - Clay County

The Clay County Flex Magenta will suspend service Wednesday and return on Friday if safe to do so.

Regular Operations

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority will continue to run regular operations on JTA’s fixed-bus route, BRT First Coast Flyer routes, Connexion and ReadiRide service, as long as it is safe to do.

St. Johns River Ferry

  • Ferry service from Fort George will be discontinued at 10:45 a.m. today (Tue, Oct 8)
  • The Ferry will not be in service Wednesday and Thursday (Oct 9-10) - will resume service on Friday as soon as it is safe to do so

Skyway

  • The Skyway will not be in service on Wednesday and Thursday (Oct 9-10) - will resume service on Friday as soon as it is safe to do so
