Beach Buggy

Through an innovative partnership, the JTA and Beach Buggy provides free, on-demand rides to residents and visitors in Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach and San Marco.

You can hail one of their zero-emission, long-range, 8 to 10 seater electric carts or request a passenger van that seats up to 14 people through the Beach Buggy app. 

How to Ride

Beach Buggy customers can download the free Beach Buggy app for iOS and Android smart mobile devices, where they can input their pick-up and drop-off locations within the specific zone.

Whether you are looking for a restaurant recommendation, the best live music, or just a safe ride back to your hotel or home, Beach Buggy drivers are ready to pick you up. Their drivers are some of the most knowledgeable concierges in the area and will always have great recommendations.

Passengers are not charged any type of fare but are encouraged to tip drivers however they see fit.

Service Territory

Beaches

You can hail a Beach Buggy anywhere within the Beaches Zone.

  • Western boundary runs along Penman Road, between Plaza Road and 16th Street in Atlantic Beach.
  • Southern boundary runs along Penman Road to Osceola Avenue and 25th Avenue South
  • Service Hours are Thursday - Saturday, 5 p.m. - Midnight and Sundays 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

San Marco

The San Marco Zone includes service from the Southbank, south to River Oaks Road, between Kings Avenue to the East and the St. Johns River to the West.

  • Service Hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Beach Buggy is a free service provided through sponsorship by JTA and other Beach Buggy partners.

Tuk'n Ride

The JTA is proud to be a sponsor for Tuk'n Ride! This service provides a door-to-door shuttle service every weekend in the Downtown, LaVilla, Murray Hill, Brooklyn, Riverside, and Avondale neighborhoods using authentic, eco-friendly Tuk Tuk vehicles. By partnering with Tuk'n Ride, the JTA is giving Jacksonville visitors and residents and quick and easy way to get around Jacksonville! 

How to Ride

  1. Reserve and pay for your ride via Tuk'n Ride's mobile app (available on the App Store and Google Play).
  2. You will be picked up at your designated starting point within the Downtown, Brooklyn, Riverside, and Avondale neighborhoods.
  3. You'll be quickly and safely dropped off at your designated destination!

Hours of Operation

  • Thursday: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday-Saturday: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Beaches Dial-A-Ride

JTA is proud to sponsor with Beaches Dial-A-Ride to help promote the health and social engagement of homebound senior and disabled persons within the Jacksonville Beaches communities! 

Through this partnership with the Beaches Dial-A-Ride and the Beaches Council Aging, we help connect seniors to where they need to go. Some of these local services include:
